Our company has established itself as a pioneer in the field of agricultural research for decades. Our founder, Anastasios Tsiotsios, realized early on the need for the development of new wheat varieties that would perfectly adapt to the special soil and climate conditions of Greece. In collaboration with the Agricultural University of Plovdiv, he took the initiative to launch two innovative Plant Genetic Improvement programs. The result of this collaboration was the creation of two excellent wheat varieties, one for soft wheat (Triticum aestivum) and one for durum wheat (Triticum durum), which have been registered in both the National and the European catalog of varieties, being the exclusive property of the company us. Our research is not limited to cereals, but also extends to other plant species, such as energy and oil crops, with the aim of developing new, resistant and efficient varieties. Right now, under her guidance Dr. Stylianis Tsiotsiou , the research project “Sesame Open – Omic technologies as a tool to re-promote sesame cultivation” is underway. This program, which is financed by the national action “Research-Create-Innovate 2nd Cycle”, aims to revive and promote sesame cultivation in Greece, using modern technologies and innovative methods to improve productivity and quality of the product.
